The "Newer" SMBW config doesn't have any modded skins to use as a starting point, as far as I can tell. Now, I just want to apply the Shadow skin to the base game with no other mods, but I can't find a config to do it.

I've also gotten the "Newer" SMBW mod working after following their tutorial, so I know I've got Riivolution working properly. My sister-in-law left it at our house like 8 years ago and doesn't care to have it back :) I just never read the title.Įdit 3: I've found the Shadow/Mario skin on gamebanana. When I looked up the game online to make sure I'd be getting the right one, I recognized the cover. Would that be the "Retextures" mentioned in this list of non-existent wiki pages? If so, where can I find a template like that?ĮDIT 2: I never played NSMBW back in the day, I only knew from the video description that's what it was and my kid really wants to play it with Shadow like in the video, so I was going to run to Game Stop to see if they had it.

ĮDIT: After more research, looks like those files are definitely made for Riivolution, but the patch templates page only seems to have an xml file for custom levels, nothing for character mods. Does it look like something made to work with Riivolution?.

So you don't have to download anything from the site to know what is in there, here's the directory structure of the "pack" folder from one of the downloads. Is that the jist of it, or am I misunderstanding completely?

After reading the summary of Riivolution here I get the impression that if I get a copy of NSMBW, I'll be able to use assets, like the ones provided on Super Isaiah's site, via Riivolution to patch in custom characters.

Their modder is Super Isaiah who has a personal website that has some Bowser mods, maybe the ones OP was talking about, and mods for other characters, ( no Shadow there though :/ ), but they don't have any info on how to apply the mods and I'm having a hard time finding any info elsewhere. I'm looking for the Shadow mod shown in this YT video. Can't believe someone asked it so recently. Well now that this is done, now on to the Classic Controller, Nunchuck, and the Wii itself. Not OP, but I came here to ask just about the same question. The most pain in the butt part is the cutting them out, a exacto knife is really the best way to do it, it takes me about 10mins to cut one out. They stick very well on the wiimotes and the ink doesn't rub off on my hands after playing Wii Sports or Super Swing Golf for a hour. I've been using Papilio Paper which seems to work best for me. I've tried a few different printable stickers and I found that "Water-proof inkjet vinyl" (printable bumper stickers) works the best. I've included a couple examples in the file so you can see how I put them together.

All you need to do is find a picture you like, copy and paste it into the template, align it so it looks correct and then print it out. The files is a 300dpi Photoshop File, I have it set up so it give you the most crisp and clean printout. Since I'm such a nice guy, I've decided to share my template with all of you ^_^ I like having my controllers look different from each other and since it doesn't seem like we'll have multi-colored Wiimotes any time soon I decided to do this. I spent the last week (or so) putting together skins for all my Wiimotes.
